Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted a series of tweets on May 15, 2026, highlighting her recent activities related to veterans’ recognition, biodiversity protection in Nevada, and the celebration of the American bison as a national symbol.

In her first tweet on May 15, Titus expressed gratitude to the Order of AHEPA for their tribute to veterans and congratulated Rep. Grace Meng: “Thank you @OrderOfAHEPA for honoring our veterans this week at the 47thBiennial Congressional Banquet. And congratulations @RepGraceMeng on receiving the 2026 Pericles Award for your work advocating for the Greek American Heritage and spirit. @DOPHeadquarters https://t.co/0nUZMP7MAa”.

Later that day, she marked Endangered Species Day by emphasizing Nevada’s unique wildlife: “It’s Endangered Species Day! From the Devils Hole Pupfish to the Mojave Desert Tortoise, there are many treasured species that call Nevada home. I will continue to promote biodiversity and protect the critical habitats that these species rely on. @Defenders #AshMeadows https://t.co/YkbUxY2F9N”.

Titus has served in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously held office in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, Titus holds a BA from College of William & Mary (Fact sources: FACTS FOR STEP 4).
