Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted several updates on January 8, 2026, covering legislative actions and commemorative messages.

In a tweet published at 19:54 UTC, Titus marked the anniversary of a significant national tragedy: “Today we recognize the 15th anniversary of the 2011 shooting in Tucson, AZ. We honor the lives lost and the survivors including Former Rep. @GabbyGiffords. While weapons of war have no place on our streets, tragedies like this one have become far too common.   I will continue https://t.co/sPK7VXUpui”.

Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since succeeding Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, Titus holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
