Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted a series of tweets on December 15, 2025, addressing the Bill of Rights anniversary, her legislative efforts to address cost of living, and her advocacy for water conservation in Southern Nevada.
In a tweet marking the anniversary of the Bill of Rights ratification, Titus wrote on December 15: “234 years ago today, the first 10 amendments to the U.S. constitution, otherwise known as the Bill of Rights, were ratified. These are the guiding principles for the experiment that is our country, as we work toward forming a more perfect Union.”
Later that day, she highlighted her role in Congress and ongoing policy focus: “As the third most effective House Democrat, I am fighting every day to make the cost of living more affordable and working hard to deliver positive change for #OnlyinDistrictOne.”
Addressing environmental concerns specific to her district, Titus posted: “I encouraged colleagues to support my Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act on the House floor. Southern Nevada is the epicenter of the climate crisis with rising temperatures and dwindling water resources. The Horizon Lateral pipeline will protect water access” (December 15).
Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013. She previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas at age 72, Titus holds a BA from College of William & Mary.
