Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account addressing legislative initiatives and community achievements.
On December 12, 2025, Titus recognized the accomplishments of a prominent athlete in women’s basketball. She wrote: “I spoke on the House floor congratulating the amazing @_ajawilson22 of the @LVAces on being named @TIME’s Athlete of the Year! She is an incredible role model who has made women’s basketball the best game in town.”
Later that day, she highlighted efforts to improve public safety for young people through new legislation. Titus stated: “We must do more to protect young people from preventable traffic accidents. I’ve just introduced my MOVE Act which will allow us to evaluate and address the safety risks associated with electric scooters and other micromobility devices.”
On December 13, 2025, Titus announced federal funding secured for mental health services in Nevada schools. She said: “I am pleased to share that I helped secure $1.75 million for @NvstateED to provide more mental health services to students in Nevada. Young people deserve the most up-to-date resources to take care of their health and wellbeing.”
Titus, who was born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and now resides in Las Vegas, has served as a member of Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously held office in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary in 1970.
