Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, reflected on her recent service and addressed environmental concerns in a series of posts at the end of 2025 and the start of 2026.
On December 31, 2025, Titus summarized her accomplishments for the year: “As the year comes to a close, I am proud to look back upon my service to the people #OnlyinDistrictOne. I delivered over $433 million in federal grants for Nevada’s First District; returned $2,323,418 to constituents in social security, veterans’ benefits, and tax refunds; and”.
Later that day, she commented on federal environmental policy changes: “.@POTUS is attacking clean air protections just like he did with clean water. On the 55th anniversary of the Clean Air Act, know that I am fighting to keep pollutants out of our air as @EPA overturns the endangerment finding and rolls back emissions standards for power plants.” (December 31, 2025).
Titus also extended New Year wishes on January 1, 2026: “Happy New Year! May 2026 bring peace and prosperity to you and your loved ones. #OnlyinDistrictOne is the best place to celebrate, but remember to be careful!”
Titus has represented Nevada’s First District in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas at age 72, Titus holds a BA from College of William & Mary.
