Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, highlighted cultural and transportation developments in a series of social media posts on April 15, 2026.
On World Art Day, Titus posted: “#WorldArtDay reminds us of the need to protect our creative works and invest in our artists and curators. In Congress, I am fighting to safeguard our public art for future generations to experience and observe.” (April 15, 2026).
Later that day, she addressed transportation initiatives in her district by stating: “When high-speed rail comes to #OnlyInDistrictOne, passenger rail will support tourism and ease traffic congestion. I am introducing my bipartisan Modal Parity in Permitting Act to help ensure that the permitting process for these services is in line with the process for highway” (April 15, 2026).
Titus also celebrated a new direct international flight by posting: “The first direct flight from Paris to Las Vegas arrives today @LASAirport! As a senior member of @TransportDems and Co-Chair of the Congressional French Caucus, Bienvenue à Las Vegas!” (April 15, 2026).
Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st district since replacing Shelley Berkley in Congress in 2013. Before her tenure in Congress, she served two decades in the Nevada Senate. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and now residing in Las Vegas, Titus holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
