Dina Titus, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted a series of messages on her social media accounts between December 5 and December 6, 2025, covering topics from legislative activity in Washington to the importance of health care coverage and historical remembrance.

On December 5, Titus shared reflections on recent meetings at her Washington office: “It was a productive week in the DC office! Thank you for stopping by @ParliamentMN @JAG_NV @MoldovaEmbUS.”

Later that day, she addressed concerns over potential increases in health insurance premiums under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). She wrote: “We cannot allow premiums to double, forcing Americans to go without health care coverage. Congress must act to ensure those covered by the Affordable Care Act stay covered.”

On December 6, Titus marked an important date in American history by referencing the end of slavery after the Civil War. Her post stated: “After the Civil War, the ratification of the 13th Amendment formally ended slavery in the United States. Today we remember this turning point in American history and recommit ourselves to the pursuit of liberty and justice for all.”

Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District since succeeding Shelley Berkley in 2013. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, Titus holds a bachelor’s degree from College of William & Mary.
