Dina Titus, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, used her social media platform on February 25, 2026, to express concerns about recent political developments and the state of voting rights in the United States.
In one post, Titus stated, “Democrats are not crazy, we are trying to SAVE America from you.” (February 25, 2026). Shortly after, she addressed proposed changes to election laws: “Nationalizing elections through methods like the SAVE America Act rolls back decades of critical voting rights protections. Married women and seniors will be vulnerable to disenfranchisement because of onerous identification requirements. This would only give more unchecked power” (February 25, 2026). In another post on the same day, she commented on presidential rhetoric: “How ironic. The President is calling for an end to political violence, but continues to stoke it.”
Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas at age 72, Titus holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
