Dina Titus, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted several comments on her Twitter account between April 12 and April 13, 2026, addressing both international and domestic political issues.
On April 12, Titus commented on recent political developments in Hungary, writing: “This is a sure sign that @POTUS’s MAGA movement is not only dying at home but around the world too. Congratulations @magyarpetermp. After years of autocratic governance from Victor Orbán, a new era is here for Hungary and the #EU.”
Turning to U.S. foreign policy later that evening, she questioned the administration’s approach to military involvement in Iran: “How can we trust @POTUS when he changes his mind every hour about how long his war of choice in Iran is going to last? Prices are too high, and American soldiers are dying. Enough is enough.” This tweet highlights concerns over shifting policies and their consequences for both Americans abroad and at home.
In another post early on April 13, Titus focused on tax policy relevant to her constituents in Nevada: “When @POTUS comes to Nevada this week, we must urge him to restore the 100% tax deduction for gambling losses. That’s fair policy.”
Titus has served as the representative for Nevada’s 1st District since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously held office in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, she graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BA in 1970.
