Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing U.S. foreign policy and domestic health care issues.
On January 4, 2026, Titus commented on recent developments in Venezuela and the subsequent White House response, stating: “Following the events in Venezuela last night and @POTUS’s unhinged press conference today, @HouseForeignGOP Western Hemisphere Subcommittee Chair @RepMariaSalazar must conduct proper oversight and hold public hearings with Administration witnesses immediately.
House Republicans”.
The following day, she expressed concern about escalating tensions in the Western Hemisphere. On January 5, 2026, Titus wrote: “The ‘President of Peace’ who promised no more wars is now threatening to engulf the United States into a larger conflict in the Western Hemisphere. I urge @POTUS to alleviate tensions before it is too late.

Later that same day, Titus addressed domestic policy priorities regarding health care. She stated: “This week I will be voting to restore the Affordable Care Act tax credits Republicans ended and reverse huge premium increases. The American people need affordable health care to live.”
Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since succeeding Shelley Berkley in 2013. Prior to her tenure in the House of Representatives, she served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, Titus holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
