Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, has recently used her social media platform to comment on legislative efforts and foreign policy issues.
On January 5, 2026, Titus announced her legislative action regarding the protection of National Monuments: “I filed an amendment to the FY26 funding bill being considered this week to prohibit @POTUS from reducing, diminishing, or revoking National Monument designations. I was proud to lead the effort to establish National Monuments, including Avi Kwa Ame, in Nevada. I will continue https://t.co/nI17A9uUgy”.
Later that day, she addressed concerns over U.S. foreign policy toward Venezuela and military engagement abroad: “As the American people struggle to understand Trump’s bizarre and dangerous actions in Venezuela, one thing is clear: No blood for oil. No American should die for oil company profits.”
Continuing her focus on military involvement in Latin America, Titus stated on January 6, 2026: “.@POTUS must refrain from any more military engagement in Latin America to prevent an open-ended conflict. He should remember that only Congress has the constitutional authority to approve military action.
