Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted a series of critical statements on December 18, 2025, addressing issues ranging from cannabis policy to health care and foreign influence.

On the subject of cannabis reform, Titus wrote, “Okay. Now let’s de-schedule cannabis entirely.” (December 18, 2025). Her statement reflects ongoing debates in Congress about federal drug scheduling and marijuana legalization.

Later that day, Titus addressed House leadership regarding health care legislation: “.@SpeakerJohnson should put the clean 3-year extension of ACA tax credits on the House floor before we leave for the year, but he won’t. As a result of his lack of urgency and leadership, millions of Americans will be forced to continue paying crippling health care costs.” (December 18, 2025).

In another post referencing an unspecified issue involving Russia or Russian influence, she stated: “What a shame. Just call it the Putin Center at this point.” (December 18, 2025).

Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Titus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary.
