Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district, addressed several health and veterans’ issues in a series of posts on her social media account in early December 2025.
On December 3, Titus wrote about the impact of rising insurance costs on Americans and called for bipartisan cooperation to address what she described as a health care crisis: “Dramatically increased insurance costs are hurting Americans. We must reach a bipartisan solution for @POTUS’s health care crisis that includes extending Affordable Care Act tax credits. Otherwise, people will become sicker and die.”
Later that evening, Titus responded to fellow Representative Mark Amodei with a brief inquiry: “And how long ago was that? @MarkAmodeiNV2” (December 4).
On December 4, she highlighted her advocacy for atomic veterans during testimony before the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Democrats: “We cannot leave our atomic veterans behind. Today I testified before @VetAffairsDems about the importance of my PRESUME Act and ensuring that our veterans who have been exposed to radiation are able to receive the health care they need.”
Titus has served in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Shelley Berkley and previously spent two decades in the Nevada Senate. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia, in 1950 and resides in Las Vegas. Titus is also an alumna of the College of William & Mary.
