Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, has voiced her opposition to recent federal decisions and announced legislative actions in a series of posts on October 30, 2025.

In her first post, Titus stated her intent to introduce new legislation, writing, “Absolutely not. I’ll be introducing legislation to put a stop to this.” (October 30, 2025).

Later the same day, she commented on Senate action regarding tariffs on Brazilian imports: “Thanks to our pushback, the Senate has passed legislation to end @POTUS’s disastrous tariff on Brazil. I am leading the effort here in the House to end this tax on the American people. Bought any coffee lately?” (October 30, 2025).

Titus also expressed concern over staffing changes at a federal agency responsible for family planning programs: “As a sponsor of the Expanding Access to Family Planning Act, I am deeply concerned by @POTUS’s decision to terminate nearly the entire staff at the Office of Population Affairs. That’s why I am urging @SecKennedy to reverse course, protecting the nation’s only federal program” (October 30, 2025).

Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, Titus is also an alumna of the College of William & Mary.
