Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, announced on her social media account that the House has passed a clean three-year extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits and highlighted recent legislative developments regarding gaming taxation.

On January 8, 2026, Titus posted: “I have been fighting for months to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits and prevent premiums from skyrocketing. Despite @SpeakerJohnson’s opposition, @HouseDemocrats have forced a vote on legislation today that keeps Americans healthy. #TitusTalk https://t.co/X7YOdLtpE9” She followed up later the same day with another statement: “See below for my statement regarding today’s House passage of a clean 3-year extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits. https://t.co/I1syKhMnWC”

Titus also shared news related to gaming legislation: “Exciting news for the #FAIRBETAct and the gaming community. The Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, @TomColeOK04, has just co-sponsored my legislation to rightfully restore the tax code for gamers.

Nobody should have to pay taxes on phantom income. Let’s get this” (January 8, 2026).

Dina Titus was born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently resides in Las Vegas. Before serving in Congress, she represented Nevada’s 1st District since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Titus graduated from College of William & Mary with a BA in 1970.
