Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, addressed several national issues in a series of tweets posted on December 13 and 14, 2025.
On December 13, Titus marked the anniversary of a key piece of legislation, stating: “3 years ago, Congress and President @JoeBiden affirmed that love is love with the bipartisan Respect For Marriage Act. You should be able to marry who you want. @EqualityCaucus @PRIDELasVegas https://t.co/b2zcNODQ3K”.
Later that day, she commented on economic concerns facing American families: “While @POTUS calls affordability concerns a “hoax,” American families are struggling. I am fighting to reverse the #TrumpTariffs which have cost the average American family nearly $1,200 in cost-of-living expenses this year. @JECDems

On December 14, Titus responded to another incident of gun violence in the United States: “Not again! Yes, again. And it will continue until something meaningful is done about gun violence in this country. What a tragedy for these victims and their loved ones! @HouseGVP @bradybuzz https://t.co/9SeRHTLMts”.
Titus has been an active member of Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and currently residing in Las Vegas, she holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
