Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, posted a series of statements on December 1, 2025, addressing recent legislative initiatives and international events.
In her first post, Titus commented on changes to gambling tax policy: “Earlier this year the BS Budget Bill reduced the tax deduction for gambling losses to 90%. In response, I introduced the FAIR BET Act to restore the commonsense 100% tax deduction to protect professional and recreational gamblers. I was the first in Congress to introduce this” (December 1, 2025). Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008.
Later that day, she addressed humanitarian concerns following severe weather in South Asia: “My thoughts are with the Sri Lankan people dealing with the floods that came as a result of Cyclone Ditwah. With more than 350 people dead, hundreds more missing, and tens of thousands displaced, the scale of the destruction is staggering. @SecRubio must coordinate a https://t.co/cdYgJHEFuW” (December 1, 2025).
Titus also called for action on healthcare affordability: “Now is not the time for uncertainty, @POTUS. We need decisive action that will extend Affordable Care Act tax credits, preventing massive premium increases that will make healthcare unaffordable and cost lives.
