Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, recently addressed several policy issues on her official Twitter account.

On December 11, 2025, Titus commented on federal building management and oversight. She stated, “.@USGSA Acting Public Buildings Service Commissioner Andrew Heller says he is “not familiar” with @POTUS’s changes to our federal buildings and artworks. I will be holding Mr. Heller accountable and look forward to reviewing documentation from his office regarding any damage”.

The following day, December 12, she weighed in on tax policy related to gambling losses: “.@DerekJStevens is right. Restoring the 100% tax deduction for gambling losses is common sense. People should not be taxed on money they didn’t make. #FAIRBETAct”.

Later that same day, Titus addressed cannabis policy reform in response to a recent proposal by President Biden: “Although @POTUS’s proposal would ease restrictions on medical cannabis research and alleviate certain tax burdens on state-legal cannabis businesses, classifying marijuana as a Schedule III substance still enables the unfair and unequal incarceration of recreational users and”.

Titus has represented Nevada’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950, she currently resides in Las Vegas. Titus holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
