Located at the premium residential apartment building, shareDOWNTOWN Arts District (1300 South Casino Center Blvd.), Dig it! Coffee Co. promotes inclusivity and equity by hiring individuals with disabilities to serve the community high-quality, locally roasted coffee.

“Dig It! Coffee Co. is more than a cup of coffee – it’s an experience with a purpose,” said Dig It Coffee Co. owner Taylor Gardner Chaney. Inspired by her younger sister Lindsay who was born with Down Syndrome, Chaney founded The Garden Foundation, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization to help individuals with disabilities reach their full potential. Dig It! Coffee began as a vocational training program at The Garden Foundation. The location at shareDOWNTOWN Arts District is its first brick and mortar location.

“We envision a thriving community built on inclusivity, equity, and kindness,” added Chaney. “Through coffee and connection, we offer a new perspective on what inclusion looks like in the workplace. At Dig It! Coffee Co. we’re able to teach work and life skills such as communication, customer service, money handling, teamwork, and self-confidence while serving customers seriously good locally roasted coffee.”

Dig It! Coffee Co. serves roasted coffee from Las Vegas-based Sin City Coffee and Beverage for its extensive coffee menu that features specialty coffee drinks like the Dirt Cup Latte and Mariposa Latte. Its menu also offers various snacks and light bites from local businesses, such as the OG Charcuterie Board and Veg It! Board from Shey’s Kitchen, Ring Ding Dongs from Whiskful Thinking Cakes, and signature Dig it! Coffee Co. Sugar Cookies by The Custom Confectionary.

“Our people just want to feel purposeful; they want to feel like they have value, and we provide that here,” according to Cheney. “Dig It! is not just for people with disabilities but for everyone. We want everyone to have a positive environment to work in.”

“I love it; it’s amazing,” said Travis Graves, a new employee at Dig It! Coffee Co. “It’s like a dream come true working here.”

The environment matches the bright personalities of the staff with vibrant, inviting colors, a disco ball, and an uplifting vibe you feel right as you walk in the door.

“People love it at Dig It!” Travis said. “They are really happy here and love the atmosphere.”

Dig It! Coffee Co. is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. For more information visit: https://www.digitcoffeeco.com/ and follow Dig It! Coffee Co. on Facebook and Instagram at @digitcoffeeco.
