City Council To Recognize Local Pastor For His Work In The Community

The Las Vegas City Council will recognize Pastor Kelcey A. West for his work in the community at the Oct. 19, 2022, City Council meeting. The City Council meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

Ward 5 Councilman Cedric Crear will recognize Pastor West as the October Citizen of the Month. He serves as the senior pastor at Nehemiah Ministries Christian Church, and has been with the church for more than 16 years. Pastor West serves on many community boards including the local chapter of the NAACP.  

In addition, the City Council will recognize the charitable efforts of Troops with Paws. This nonprofit helps to provide service dogs to disabled veterans through dog rescue programs.

The meeting will be broadcast live on KCLV-TV Channel 2, the city’s government access television station, and at www.kclv.tv/live.

Public comment will be available for items on the agenda until 5 p.m. Oct. 18, at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcomment. Those wishing to comment on items on the council agenda are invited to do so online, or to attend the meeting in person and participate in the public comment periods.
